Any condition which only lasts for a short period is recognised as an acute illness. An example of acute illness our GPs can provide medical advice and intervention with include:

  • UTis (urinary tract infections) and Cystitis
  • Ingrown toenails and nail infections
  • Fungal infections, such as Athlete’s foot
  • Eye problems, including Conjunctivitis, Styes and Blepharitis (inflammation of your eyelid)
  • Ear, Nose and Throat conditions, such as Tonsillitis, Laryngitis, Sinusitis and Tinnitus
  • Coughs and colds, these symptoms can lead to chest infection, influenza or pneumonia.

If you are generally feeling unwell and below par, our GPs will take the time to complete a detailed medical history, carrying out specific tests so they have a complete picture of your body’s health. You can treat this as your personal MOT, allowing for any changes in your health to be identified and investigated.

Similarly, if you suffer from aches and pains there is no need to battle on in silence. Our GPs can offer you insight into your back pain or arthritis, presenting a treatment plan to manage your symptoms. This is the same approach to tension headaches and migraines. She asked all sorts of questions about my health and history, and even extended my appointment by half an hour (free of charge) as she had the availability and wanted to spend time getting deeper into questions and examinination. I had an initial appointment and booked for a further follow appointment up with Dr Sarah Wright. I felt well looked after, that my concerns were listened too, with a genuine desire to help me get some answers for my health concerns. I was given extra advice for possible next steps too, which I also really appreciated! The clinic is very clean and the reception staff were also lovely, as well the staff that took my bloods who really looked after me after becoming dizzy. All in all, I would definitely return without a doubt

Arranging a GP consultation in Birmingham couldn’t be simpler. At Midland Health, we offer comprehensive healthcare on a pay-as-you-go service for all the family. Every GP consultation provides each patient with the opportunity to talk through their ailments and concerns in a private and relaxing space. During a standard GP consultation, there is plenty of time for a full medical history to be taken, including the necessary tests and examinations. Should you require follow-up medication after your consultation, this will be provided at an extra cost. Please note, that we cannot include the cost of any medicines in the price of the consultation. Every appointment you arrange will include a thorough investigation into your concerns. Our GPs will also explore additional factors that may be affecting your health, such as psychological, social and emotional as well as physical, to work with you on a management plan.
