Rotavirus is a stomach infection, that causes severe diarrhoea and usually affects young children. For some, sickness may pass naturally in a few days, but rotavirus can lead to hospitalization due to complications such as dehydration.

The rotavirus vaccine has reduced cases by 69% since 2013 and is recommended in a two-stage oral dose for babies at 8 and 12 weeks.

At our private clinics in Birmingham and Leicester, you can discuss your Rotavirus vaccine options with one of our friendly GPs who will answer any questions you might have.
