H Pylori

Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) is a bacterium which inhibits the stomach’s ability to make mucus, leaving a person more susceptible to damage from acidity. H. Pylori has been strongly linked to stomach ulcers and stomach cancer.

The H. Pylori test involves taking a stool sample to see whether antigens are present in the gastrointestinal system. Results will be sent to the laboratory and shared via your chosen method of communication in a confidential manner. A H. Pylori test may be recommended if you have a suspected ulcer or to monitor recovery from a previous H. Pylori infection.
