1. Private GP Consultation
When you book an appointment with Midland Health, you can talk through any health concerns with one of our friendly GPs. Our professional GPs will provide you with all the answers you need, and if necessary, prescribe suitable medication.
2. Generating Your Prescription
Following your consultation, Midland Health will generate your online prescription and send it directly to CloudRx.
3. Delivering Your Prescription
If your prescription is sent to CloudRx before 4 pm, they will aim for next-day delivery to our patients. CloudRx stocks over 3500 pharmacy lines and we have ensured many commonly prescribed medicines and creams are in stock for next-day delivery.

Booking A Video Consultation With A GP
At Midland Health, we strive to make private consultations more accessible and flexible for you. That is why we offer our private video consultation service, providing you with even more options to access affordable GP consultations.
During your online consultation, the Midland Health GP may be able to diagnose your health problem and prescribe suitable medication. Your online private prescription will then be delivered to your address the next day. It’s worth noting that our video consultation service is not designed to provide a complete health service. For this reason, your GP may ask you to come in for a face-to-face consultation before they can initiate treatment.
What Treatment Won't Midland Health Prescribe?
Midland Health doctors always have your best interests in mind. That is why we only prescribe suitable medicines and regularly review repeat prescriptions to ensure that we are meeting best practice guidelines. If you require a controlled drug prescription then you would need to email in advance and our GP team will then review each case to see if this is something we can assist with or not. We are very restricted with controlled drug prescribing so may not be able to offer this service to many patients.

Who are CloudRx?
CloudRx has been set up by pharmacists with significant experience in health tech and pharmacy. CloudRx directors were arguably the founders and pioneers of the online pharmacy industry in the UK.
Is this system of prescribing legal and ethical?
Please refer to the “Regulatory Information” section for a detailed explanation of the requirements to create a legal digitally signed prescription and the appropriate supporting background information.
How does the service work?
Once a prescription has been approved by the Midland Health Doctor, the patient receives an email and text message confirming CloudRx has the prescription ready for dispensing. Included in the message is a link to a secure payment page where the patient completes payment for the medicines and delivery charges.
Who delivers the prescription medicines?
The medicines will be delivered by Royal Mail or DPD in plain, discreet packaging. We will let the patient know when we dispatch their medicines.
How much does delivery cost?
There are different services that can be selected depending on the patient’s preference:
- Royal Mail 24 Tracked is £4.90
- Royal Mail Special delivery is £6.90
- Royal Mail Special Saturday delivery is £9.50
- DPD Next day delivery £6.75
- DPD Saturday is £9.50
- DPD pre noon is £8.50
The patient paid for next-day delivery but the order has not arrived. What happens in this scenario?
It is possible that we received payment for the order after our cut-off of 4 pm for Royal Mail or 3 pm for DPD. Alternatively, it may be that there is a problem obtaining the medicine or it is not in stock. In this instance, the patient will be sent an email advising them of the issue.
What if the patient is out when the delivery arrives?
If no one is available to sign for the package it will be returned to your local postal depot where you will be required to collect or rearrange delivery.
Couriers will leave deliveries in a safe place or with a neighbour by prior arrangement. This can be set up through the DPD App.
Where do CloudRx deliver to?
We deliver anywhere in the UK and Channel Islands.
Is the packaging discreet?
All orders are sent in plain, discrete packaging. Our name or logo is not displayed on the package and there is no indication of the contents.
Who do I contact if I have not received my prescription?
In the first instance please email our secretarial team who will look into this matter with our prescriber and pharmacy partner CloudRx.
Are CloudRx competitively priced?
With the service being based as an online pharmacy they can keep costs low and your doctor or a member of the Midland Health team will be able to advise on the costs of the medicines beforehand so you have a rough idea. There is a minimum charge of £9.15 plus delivery per prescription.
Can I manage my repeat private prescription online and get my medication delivered?
Together, with the help of Midland Health and CloudRx, you can manage your repeat private clinic prescription online and have it delivered to your address. Additionally, we will remind you when it is time to reorder.
Can you prescribe my medication online?
It is possible for our professional GPs to diagnose your health problem through video consultations, going on to initiate your treatment. Though your GP may ask you to come in for a face-to-face appointment before they prescribe your medication.
Do you deliver one-off prescriptions?
Yes, Midland Health can deliver one-off prescriptions through our online pharmacy partner CloudRx.
What should I do if I need my prescription urgently?
If you require your medication the same day, it is advisable to get your prescription dispensed at your local pharmacy. If your prescription is slightly less urgent, Midland Health can help. Together, Midland Health and CloudRx can get your prescription to your address the next day if your prescription is sent before 4 pm and paid for.
What is the online prescription process?
During your consultation, your Midland Health GP may prescribe medication. Once issued, they will generate your online prescription and send it directly to CloudRx. If CloudRx receives your order before 4 pm, your prescription will be sent out for next-day delivery to your chosen address.
How long will I have to wait before my prescription is processed?
The CloudRx team will process your prescription so that it is delivered to your address the next day if they receive it before 4 pm and the drug is in stock to be dispensed.
How confidential and secure is the prescription online service?
Your private GP consultation and online private prescription are both completely confidential. Only your Midland Health GP and CloudRx will have access to your prescription.
Can you deliver my online private prescription to a different address?
Yes, you can. Please note that someone at the address will need to sign for the prescription.
