Our therapy sessions are intended for couples or families and provide a safe, confidential and empathetic environment for you to discuss a range of issues that may be affecting you. If you are experiencing difficulties at home, either with your partner or in your close or wider family, our CBT and Psychotherapists are on-hand to help you work through your problems together.
In addition to our Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling services offering individual therapy sessions, our private therapy options extend to counselling services for couples and families too.
Couples therapy allows couples a safe space to explore the difficulties they are experiencing with the support of a professional. These sessions usually come with suggestions of trust, honesty, communication and intimacy exercises for the two of you to further work on your relationship outside of the sessions.
Family therapy offers an opportunity for all members of the family to come together to work through their difficulties. A professional is present to be able to help cox the conversation while offering advice and techniques for overcoming these issues. Whether the family is needing to pull together through traumatic events or periods of grief, or they are struggling to cope with a mental health diagnosis of another member, these sessions allow them a safe space to have difficult conversations and an opportunity to process them together.
These concerns often, but not exclusively, include:
During your private therapy sessions, our specialist will help mediate a discussion allowing both parents, partners or family members to talk about their struggles and experiences openly. They will help you to learn and understand new techniques to help you move forward outside of your appointments.
Often therapy is most successful when a commitment is given to regular appointments over a particular period of time. Our specialist will be able to advise on how many this may be as everyone’s progress is unique to them.

While the main consideration for private therapy is the cost, paying for treatment does come with its benefits over NHS-provided care. When you come to a private clinic, you are seen as an individual, not a number on the system. Our qualified professionals have the luxury of time, allowing you to be in control of how many sessions you’d like and how long you’d like to continue them, with their guidance.
In addition, you’ll find these therapists have access to more comfortable environments with up-to-date technology and equipment. In these settings, privacy is guaranteed.
Another advantage is the availability of private appointments. There is no need to join a long NHS list of people waiting for a slot. Instead, you and your family can access therapy as soon as you need it, reducing the risk of problems getting worse before they get better.
