Dr Francesco Manfredonia is a highly experienced Consultant Neurologist with over 23 years in clinical practice, including 13 years within the NHS. Known for his compassionate and thorough approach, he provides expert care at our Edgbaston clinic, where he focuses on accurate diagnosis, long-term management, and patient-centred support.
His areas of expertise include general neurology, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, cognitive behavioural neurology, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. He integrates advanced neurophysiological techniques with a holistic understanding of each patient’s condition, delivering precise and personalised care.
Dr Manfredonia played a key role in developing one of the UK’s largest neurology and neurophysiology services during his time in Wolverhampton. He continues to contribute to academic research and serves as Senior Clinical Editor for Clinical Case Reports. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, he is recognised for his commitment to clinical excellence and innovation in the field.
Outside the clinic, he is involved in community health initiatives and supports the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and he is always guided by his belief that “empathy goes a long way in medicine.”
